Secretary, Department of Science and Technology and Climate Change, Govt of Assam visits WGL

We were honoured to welcome Shri Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Science and Technology and Climate Change, to Aaranyak’s Research Office in Guwahati on 25 August 2026.

During his visit, he toured WGL, and interacted with our scientists and team members, learning about Aaranyak’s ongoing work in conservation science, our approaches towards understanding and mitigating human wildlife conflict, wildlife genetics, forensics and spatial research.

We are deeply grateful to Shri Jha for taking the time to visit our research facilities and for his interest in Aaranyak’s scientific and conservation initiatives. Such encouragement and engagement are invaluable in strengthening science-led approaches to conservation and environmental management in the state.
