Australian Consul-General Visits WGL

On 16 June 2026, Mr. Bernard Lynch, Consul General of Australia in Kolkata, visited the Wildlife Genetics Laboratory of Aaranyak and interacted with the Director and Head of the Wildlife Genetics Division, along with the laboratory's research staff.

During his visit, Mr. Lynch appreciated the pioneering work being undertaken by the laboratory in the fields of conservation genetics and wildlife forensics across Northeast India. He commended the laboratory's contributions towards biodiversity conservation, scientific research, and strengthening wildlife crime investigations through advanced genetic technologies.
